What is athletic event fundraising?
Our research shows that in 2006 over $1.5 billion was raised by people engaging in athletic activities to raise money for a cause.
Our organization is named the Run Walk Ride Fundraising Council because those are the most common activities, but there are -- and we will cover -- many other types: hiking, climbing, swimming, shooting hoops, jumping rope and much more.
To get you started, we've developed a series of articles on the fundamentals of athletic event fundraising. It's a great place to start your research.
