Charity Fund-Raising Through Running Sees Marked Increase

Road runners and walkers raised $656 million for charity in 2005, USA Track & Field (USATF) announced Tuesday. This represents one of the most significant sources of revenue growth for organizations in the past several years. The figure marks a 14 percent increase over 2005 and is the biggest single-year increase since USATF began its annual charity survey in 2002.
